Arcade Block October 2015 Reveal.

Arcade Block

Arcade Block is a monthly subscription box that is run by Nerd Block costing $19.95 (US) a month (plus shipping) which delivers assorted geekery and fandom goodies to its subscribers. From Nerd Block you can also subscribe to many other themed boxes, including Horror Block and Comic Block. I actually wasn’t expecting to receive anything. Having signed up for their Welcome Box and being disappointed (items from the welcome box are currently for sale on my Ebay, linked to the left) I had cancelled, but I guess it didn’t take in time. Thankfully, because the first item I reveal below the cut, blew my mind!

Atari Baseball Cap

Can I join a Korean boyband now?

I literally squealed when I saw this item, like, you guys don’t even know. I was born in ’86, so that should give you a clue. The fanciest christmas gift I received (until I was 18 and got a PS2) was my Atari ST. Even though I had to share with my stinky sisters! (Sorry, Fatgirlslim). Not only am I in need of a cap for next summer, I honestly don’t think there’s another hat I would be as happy with. This baseball cap is the perfect retro way to say SWAG, YOLO, IDGAF; Lorna out!

EXCLUSIVE Shirtpunch Call of Duty Black Ops III T-shirt

I’m exclusive and I like it that way.

Wow, Arcade Block hits it out of the park with this one again. Even though Call of Duty Black Ops is not my kind of game, I know a lot of Gamers who’d be thrilled with this one. The fact that it’s exclusive is just the cherry on the top of this tasty, tasty cake. I happen to think the design is pretty neat too, but who isn’t a fan of creepy skull-like stuff and the color red?

K’NEX Titanfall Construction Set

It could even be multiplayer!

Don’t eat the pieces, or do, I’m not your mum!

Another cool item. If it weren’t Titanfall themed (a game I never played) I’d be all over this like a white girl on Pumpkin Spice. Toys are always fun. If I had a little person in my life I’d most definitely be gifting this to them, as K’nex are a great toy to encourage people and especially young people, to build and have fun doing it.

Guarding Cornelius.

This one is a hoot! Fallout theme is popular both with me and with the masses and I was actually happy with the figure I received as it’s a lady (love me some ladies) and frankly looks badass.

What is this, 2005?

Yeeeah, a game. One that seems to have pretty high ratings on Steam too. I do feel it’s a bit of a stretch calling this ‘exclusive’ though as the game is available in other places, but hey, it’s not like a dev would make a game just for Nerd Block and if they did it would probably suck like the mobile app game Loot Crate put in their ‘Summon’ themed crate. Retro City Rampage DX, is an 8-bit throwback and here it comes with a digital copy and in a physical format with a cool retro box.

What did you think of this month’s Arcade Block? For me it’s a choice between them and Loot Crate, so I’m going to stay cancelled for now as next month’s teaser doesn’t excite me. It’s definitely possible I might resubscribe in the future though, as I love doing these reveals.
